It’s year of the tiger! Here are your 2022 horoscopes for the Lunar New Year

Whatever your Lunar zodiac sign, Year of the Tiger promises some big shakes ups. Here’s what’s on the way for 2022.

Welcome to the Year of the Tiger!

February 1 marked the start of a Lunar New Year, the holiday that is celebrated by nearly two billion people across the world.

A Lunar New Year marks a fresh start and changes to our luck in areas like work, romance, health, and money. While Western astrology is focused on months, each sign of the Lunar zodiac rules over an entire year. That means if you were born in a ‘Tiger’ year of 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998 or 2010, you’re set for a significant 12 months.

But it’s not just Tigers who can learn from their horoscopes – the Lunar New Year impacts every sign of the zodiac. Here’s what Year of the Tiger has in store for you.

Rat (born in 1984, 1996, 2008, 2020)

With no significant lucky or unlucky stars shining above them, Rats are set for a relatively peaceful year.

That’s not a bad thing – this is a year you can afford to take a risk or try out something new. Knuckle down at work or make savvy moves and you could really get ahead. In fact, Rats born in 1948 or 2008 are poised for a good money year (but those born in 1996, however, should be more cautious with their spending).

If you’re looking for love, you might have to search a little harder than usual, but the stars certainly aren’t against you. Health should never be neglected, but you’re not in for any big upsets – welcome news in a pandemic.

Ox (born in 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009, 2021)

In most departments, the Ox is in for a good year.

Your prospects in work and romance are set to improve compared to 2021. You’re also in for a good financial year – a promotion might be in store, or a big opportunity could come your way. When it does, be open to new ideas and ready to pounce. This is a great year for ticking off those big goals, so aim high.

The only area you’re set to be a little less fortunate in is health – so be vigilant and take care.

Tiger (born in 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010, 2022)

It’s your year! Tigers are set to be popular people in 2022 – even fame could be on the cards, if that’s what you’re seeking.

Things are looking particularly good for Tigers born in 1998 who work in fields like media, education and publishing. Financially, this is also an excellent year to amass wealth, so you’d be wise to put extra energy into making money, side hustling or shooting for those big deals.

The only downside is that your emotional health might suffer in 2022. Focus on work and yourself and don’t let heartache or conflict get you down.

Rabbit (born in 1975, 1987, 1999, 2011)

This year, the Rabbit is cursed with the Quarrelsome star. That means you can expect to bicker with your significant other or have your patience tested by friends, family and colleagues.

But things aren’t all bad. At work, you’ll set yourself apart from the pack. Your wealth prospects are good, especially for Rabbits born in 1999 and 1975. New interests and opportunities will come your way and you’ll enjoy some exciting achievements.

Single Rabbits can expect a busy year on the dating front, with a lot of romantic prospects vying for your attention – some sticking around longer than others.

Dragon (born in 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012)

Dragons, this is your year for making money. There’s huge potential for accumulating wealth in 2022, especially for those born in the year 2000.

At work, this will be a fairly stable year for you. So if you want big things to happen, you’ll need to hustle for them – don’t give up at the first hurdle. Dream big and avoid the naysayers.

In love and relationships, you’re set to do well. But you’ll need to take extra care with your health – be cautious and look after yourself. Now’s a good time to start that health kick you keep talking about.

All in all, there’s a reason the Dragon is considered the luckiest zodiac sign. Take it from creator (and Linktree user!) Maya Le Espiritu.

Snake (born in 1977, 1989, 2001, 2013)

2022 is a good year for Snakes to shoot for the stars.

Launch that Big Idea you’ve been dreaming of, set off on a new adventure or tap into your creativity. You can pursue whatever you want this year, even if it feels new or scary – things will fall into place.

Snakes born in 1965 and 1989 are set for wealth, though extra caution should be taken if signing any legal documents. But as the Snake is clashing this year with Tai Sui — the stars directly opposite Jupiter – you’ll need to watch out for disruptions to your personal life, maybe in the form of gossip.

And on the romantic front, things look good – this might even be the year to settle down.

Horse (born in 1978, 1990, 2002, 2014)

There’s a lot for Horses to be excited about this Lunar New Year.

Your star is matching with Tai Sui, which means your relationships are going to be strong in 2022 — especially if marriage is on the cards. Horses are set to enjoy greater status, power and wealth in the year to come. At work, keep laying the groundwork for a brilliant future and focus on building the life you want.

Just don’t work so much that you burnout, so pace yourself and remember to rest. Your health is set to be good, but you should be wary of the potential for accidents — maybe wait until 2023 to cross that bungee jump off the bucket list.

Goat (born in 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003, 2015)

If you’re willing to put in the work, this could be a good year for the Goat.

Things won’t be handed to you but if you hustle for it, you could manage some big achievements or tick off some major goals. That goes for both career and money – you’ll only get out what you put in. This is not a year for waiting around for luck to strike.

Romantically, Goats are poised to have a better year than they did in 2021. Look after your health and know when to ask for help.

Monkey (born in 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016)

This is set to be a year that shakes things up for the Monkey – in a good way.

Make plans, focus on the big goals and don’t be afraid to go in some totally different directions – with a little strategizing, you could sail the winds of change to great success. This is the time to ask yourself: What do you want your life to look like? And how are you going to make it happen?

The downside is this might not be your greatest money year, so try to prepare for some unexpected expenses. Your health needs close attention and your romantic relationships might present challenges.

Rooster (born in 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017)

It’s going to be a big career year for the Rooster.

New opportunities or promotions will come your way. You’ll find yourself more productive than ever — in fact, those pandemic-induced workplace shake-ups will help you create a lifestyle that better suits your personality. Expect to gain recognition for your efforts towards the end of the year.

Romance-wise, the forecast is average but certainly nothing to fear. Your health is set to be much the same, though older Roosters may need to take extra care.

Dog (born in 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006, 2018)

Things are looking up for the Dog in 2022.

Doors are going to open for you. The right people are going to offer help and support. Romance is coming your way. This is the time to seize on new opportunities and put yourself out there – especially if you’re a creative type. The only thing holding you back is you, so push through the self-doubt and dream big.

Only your health prospects are below average, so look after yourself.

Pig (born in 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007, 2019)

The biggest challenges the Pig will face this year come from within.

New opportunities could be headed your way… but you might let them pass you by. Don’t let yourself get too comfortable, or you might miss some great chances. Try to stay hungry and focussed.

Your relationships, however, are looking good – this could be the year you get struck by cupid’s bow. And self-employed Pigs, particularly those born in 1983 and 1995, could see some lucky breaks come their way.

Whether Lunar New Year signifies change at work, romance, health or money, it’s an opportunity for a fresh start and to celebrate traditions with loved ones as we enter the Year of the Tiger.
