Did you ever think when you posted your first video on the internet that you would be on a billboard in Times Square? What was your reaction when you found out?
I never thought I’d be on a billboard anywhere, let alone Times Square – which is huge! As a kid, I would always watch movies that took place in New York and see the [iconic] Times Square billboards so this is a really cool opportunity. I still can’t believe it!
If you could extend your billboard space to the next up and coming creator that we all should be keeping tabs on, who would it be?
This person isn’t really up and coming but more like up and.. Keep going. I’ve really been enjoying @madebymusashi’s content. It’s a boyfriend and girlfriend duo – the boyfriend is a chef and from his videos you can learn so much about cooking.
Is there a new project or hobby that you are exploring in 2024 that you can tease?
This year I really want to get into fitness and fashion. I think I’m at the age where I’m starting to decompose so taking care of my health is probably a good thing.
Give us a quick recap on what your book is about, what inspired it and why everyone should check it out!
As I was developing my cookbook, I had my younger self in mind as the audience. I wanted to make this book for someone who wants to get started in the kitchen but isn’t quite sure where to start. I think my cookbook caters really well to gen-z because it has a lot of viral recipes but also a good mix of Vietnamese American recipes so it’s a great blend of different cultures in one book. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!
